Christmas Tournament & Dinner

This year’s American Tournament and Christmas Dinner were a great success! 

A full turnout of 32 players played on the beautiful winter’s afternoon. Everyone embraced the fun nature of the tournament with full members mixing brilliantly with the improvers. Mulled wine was provided in between the five rounds of matches together, while the festive hats kept everyone warm!

The overall winner and ladies winner was Shelia Sen on a very impressive 39 points. The male winner was Roy Marshall on 31 points. This year we added an improver winner who was Sue Hedges again a very respectable 23 points.

Once again another lovely Christmas dinner, prepared by the excellent James, rounded off a fantastic afternoon. With 60 people to feed he did a remarkable job! During the meal Keith Claxton was presented with the award for member who goes above and beyond to help the club out. He has helped the coaching team out massively this year and I hope he will continue to do so in the coming years! (see the separate posting on the Member of the Year Award)
